Do you think your partner is cheating on you? Are you worried about your son’s whereabouts in Vancouver? Some free apps can track their movements for you.
If you are concerned about a person close to you, and you feel like you need to be sure of their location, the best way to track his position may be through his phone, using a simple app as powerful as a private investigator.
The last trending app in this sector, has been released far from Vancouver, in Brazil and dubbed “Boyfriend Tracker”. It can send tracking updates on a person’s whereabouts, forward duplicates of text messages from the targeted phone, and allow a user to “force the target phone to silently call their own, like a pocket dial, so they can listen in on what the person is saying.”
Unfortunately the app – which marketed itself as a “private detective in your partner’s pocket” – has now, sadly, been removed from Google Play app store apparently due to privacy concerns. The app had become incredibly popular, being downloaded by about 50,000 users since its launch two months ago, and it’s still available for download on the company’s website, despite being banished from GooglePlay. Of course, the company says that the app is for “social and recreational use” – and the download instructions say “a woman installing the tracker on her boyfriend’s phone should do so ‘with his consent.’”
The oldest and most known app in this sector is Find My iPhone, that allows you to use a iOS device to locate another a missing iPhone, iPad or Mac on a map, protect private data, display messages on screen, play a sound at full volume (for few minutes) even if your missing iPhone was set to silent, and remotely lock the device. Despite the location service was designed to find a stolen or missing device, it can obviously be used for other purposes, for example to track the position of the owner, just by knowing his Apple ID and password.
Last but not least, also in Vancouver, teenagers like to disappear; it’s in their nature! The problem is that the parents never know where they are, and often don’t know what they’re doing or who they’re with. Many parents are worried that their child is being bullied, getting into bad habits or disappearing to somewhere they shouldn’t be. Usually the situation doesn’t require the intervention of a Private Investigator, but for this reason, an app has been developed! Teenage Tracker is a secure way to keep track of your child; it runs in the background of his/her device and sends information to the parent’s phone through secure connection. This application uses Google Maps to identify the exact location of the teenager’s cell phone and allows you to access the child’s phone frontal and back cameras and the microphone.
