According to the Richmond News, the city saw a 43% jump in business break-and-enters in 2012, that’s 519 burglaries in total. On the other hand, residential crimes have decreased to a meager 14% in comparison. It seems that home owners are keeping an eye on their houses, but why aren’t business owners doing the same? It is reported that the losses succumbed by small business is much greater, not to mention issues with security. Especially with summer slowly creeping in, it’s imperative that business owners keep their security up, either by having a good alarm system, or hiring security to do periodic patrols and night checks. The mobile patrol team’s spontaneous checks (depending on how many you request) can lead to lower crime rates, and can reap great benefits as they are able to report crimes to the police form much earlier than you would the next morning.
