Our security guards are always on the go, either doing mobile patrols around various locations or guard duty around a specific building. In order to help with their constant movement, two new technologies could be implemented.
1. Coffee on
Not only is the machine eco-friendly to be on par with our green initiatives, but Velopresso allows for mobile coffee. A bike, which is fitted with a coffee machine, allows the biker to grind espresso beans through the motion of the gears. No electricity is necessary as hot water is created from an onboard gas-powered boiler. This invention is great for security guards, as they can carry out their mobile patrol duties, in an environmentally-friendly way, while also being able to have a coffee for a much-needed caffeine boost.
2. Desk in a briefcase
What to do when your report needs to be sent in, but there’s no wifi…and no desk?! Not to fret, here comes Field Power Desk! The portable workspace/desk fits snuggly in a case and has detachable legs for the user to assemble. Think Ikea style. However, it also includes power outlets for users in remote areas which are powered through lithium iron batteries (rechargeable?) and solar panels, meaning yes, rechargeable! How eco-friendly, yet again.
One to invest in? Let’s weigh the characteristics:
- Desk light? Check
- Drawers for electronic devices? Check
- Lasts three hours? Check
- Price? USD 1995 for three hours of power, or USD 2495 for Field Power Desk 240, with twice the power.
UNCHECK ALL BOXES. Quite pricey for us, but one for other companies in desperate need?
